The lake lies in a picturesque valley that stretches to the west and which is closed by a semicircle group of peaks, among which Zeledria, Nambino, Laste, Arctic, and Monte Vigo. To the east you can find a characteristic "window" to admire the north of the Brenta Dolomites (subgroup of Pietra Grande - Vagliana - Sasso Alto - Sassara). This peculiarity has made the place very well known among Trentino's tourists.
