The hike along the "Trail of Waterfalls" in Val Genova, at the side of Val Rendena, is a relaxing and charming route suitable for everyone, including families.
What you will discover thanks to the mountain guides Pinzolo Val Rendena - Mountain Friends - is not immediately visible: a day of legends, history, tradition and nature. The abundance of water, the impetuous jumps, the spectacular waterfalls, that can be seen walking along the "Trail of Waterfalls", have meant that, dating from the days of the early explorers, Val Genova was called the "Versailles of "northern Italy”. Along the trail you will discover many different waterfalls: the spectacular waterfall of Nardis; the waterfall of Casol, the waterfalls of Làres and Folgorìda, that make the hike particularly fascinating. Down in the valley, the Sarca river jumps into the rosck creating the Casina Muta, the Stablei, the Pedrùc canyons.
Imposing granite rocks rise from the valley while the millenary glaciers cover large areas at higher altitudes.
Frequent and unexpected, both in the woods and glades of this valley, are the meetings with the alpine animals that lives among the firs, larches, beeches, the pines, birches and the fragrant and colorful undergrowth.
