The hike in Val Trivena, in the Giudicarie, suggested by Mountain Friends is a route suitable for everyone, including families, in an suggestive and wild area.
Thanks to this hike you will get familiar with the nature, the history and the traditions of these mountains and their inhabitants. Val di Breguzzo is one of the major valleys of the lower Giudicaries overlooking the so-called "Busa di Tione". The serie of peaks that surrounds it belongs to the Adamello Group - Subgroup of Breguzzo. In its upper part included in the Adamello Brenta Natural Park, the valley is called Val Trivena and Redont Plan, where converge a series of spectacular waterfalls, and the valley continues as the Valle del Vescovo. The valley is closed in its upper part by a massive rocky cirque of glacial origin. This succession of peaks is interrupted by some passages that connect the upper Val Breguzzo with Val di Daone, Val di San Valentine and Val di Fumo. On these mountains are still visible traces and evidence of the World War 1 aged in between 1914 and 1918. The Austrian most advance line of attack passed there. Once the Val Breguzzo was known for its mining of iron pyrite and silver galena located near the huts of Stablei and Laghisòl, and in particular for some white marble quarries at Malga Trivena.
