A rewarding climb on a Dolomites tower, on a sunny wall just outsideTuckett Hut. Castelletto Inferiore Normal route is 300 m long with moderate difficulty: the perfect way to approach the world of multipitches in the Dolomites.
Castelletto Inferiore is the tower visible from Vallesinella and Tuckett Hut trail. Easy approach, south facing wall. moderate difficulty on excellent rock and a scenic summit guarantee a funny and rewarding day out. With Grostè gondola we reach Stoppani Hut where the trail starts slightly downhill, once at Tuckett Hut, the wall is on the south facing wall above that. The Normal route follows chimneys, ledges and ramps at most grade III. An alternative route is Gasperi edge that is a bit more difficult and airy. The descent consists of tree 30 m rappels, and descending some screes to get the trail we did before. From here it’s 1 hour hiking back to the gondola.
