CIMA AMBIEZ AND CIMA TOSA - BRENTA DOLOMITES

Back

Medium

One of the most exciting stages of the Normal Routes collection in the Brenta Dolomites, this two-day tour, accompanied by the Mountain Guides Pinzolo, will allow you to climb two of the most important peaks in the Dolomites.

The departure is from Lake Molveno, where a jeep taxi will take us to about an hour's walk from Rifugio Agostini. After climbing Cima Ambiez, we will spend the night at the refuge.

1. CIMA D’AMBIEZ (3102 m)Located at the head of the magical Val d’Ambiez, this mountain offers some of the finest and most solid rock in the entire massif. Once the summit is reached via the elegant south ridge, the descent continues on the north side with a series of rappels in front of the west face of Cima Tosa, one of the most remote in the Brenta.

2. CIMA TOSA (3136 m)For perhaps the most famous peak in the massif, we propose a traverse starting with the ascent via the Migotti route from Bocca d’Ambiez and descending via the easier and quicker normal route on the east side, which connects to the upper part of the Livio Brentari trail. By following the Brentari via ferrata, one can return to the starting point. Alternatively, you can head to Rifugio Pedrotti.
